"I remembered my first day with Jess started off with sweaty palms and trying to contain my hyper bubbly personality and the class ending with being happy and allowing myself to show who I truly was. Personally, I have done many years of dance, but this was the first time I ever felt like I was accepted. Being able to let down my guard on the very first day of class was all thanks to Jess. She made every one of her students feel comfortable and she accepted us for being us. Her positive energy was so contagious that before I knew it my self-confidence started to rise. Believing in myself was something that I had long forgotten to do in the years prior to starting with her. Simply put, if you struggle, she will help you get over those obstacles, when you finally get it she is just as excited as you are. If you are very technique based she will slow things down to help you understand how to move your body while staying safe. Jess is a natural born instructor who has the capability to exceed your expectations levels. I can happily say she exceeded my expectations and still continues to do so today. Honestly, any kind of feedback I give at this point will be completely corny. But I truly believe if it wasn’t for her and how she made me feel on the very first day of class I probably would be stuck in the same rut that I was in. I didn’t end up with regular classes or an instructor who could care less about her students.
